Didn't fall asleep until after midnight last night, regardleas am not out. Turns out I saved myself embarassment and a 90 mile round trip. Had I grabbed everything by the door and headed out I wpupd have gotten there and realized all my blaze orange was not in the truck. Normally put it in the gun caae so its always with the gun, I didn't have it with either until I decided which gun I was going to use. In last nights exvitement I forgot all about it.
When I use to hunt Northern Missouri and pressure got bad I hunted the big brushy ditches. Specifically the bends where I could see both ways.
In the soft cast it feels fine. Without it still have soreness/stiffness that limits range of motion. Probably pushing it being less than 3 weeks from happening. Lost the advantage of opening day firearm though.
I forgot my damn coffee this morning. I'm not ok. Did have a couple of does wander through. Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
Heading in. Mid day scout and hopefully find what im looking for. Got a good mile plus walk to just get to the area i want to look at. Then another 1/2 mile to the other side. I will check back if i find anything. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Pretty crazy how fast things change on my property after the gun season/rut. Haven't had a single deer on camera in 2 days. Not even a fawn.
Just got to a spot that is flat with hundreds of blow downs. So went up into it to look for beds. Definitely a winter bedding area. Found a shed right away. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
I'll be heading in for an evening hunt shortly. Haven't seen a deer in my last three sits. It can only get better.
I'm gonna scout my way in on a new piece of property.I've never even been on. Rain is slowly ending so I hope I time it just right
I’m out. Just saw the doe and fawn. my season started out strong and has ended with a trickle I’ll be out with the orange army with the boom stick (300 ultra mag)
Just 2 ruff looking pit bull mix dogs just run up on me out here. Wasn't sure how that was going to go. They came towards me and one growled and the other did a huff/bark. I stood my ground and moved towards them. Luckily i must have been the bigger predator today. They turned and ran away. Both dogs well over 100 lbs. That could've turned ugly. Finding lots of rubs everywhere. Some are bigger and look as it could be mature buck. Found some fresh scrapes, but all around a creek on the bends in it. Sure its a big travel corridor. Just not very thick around it and not something i see a buck traveling in day light. Most like will just keep scouting this place. And maybe not hunt. Unless i find something that tells me to hunt. Got another 100 acre section to check now. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
