I'm up and ready to kill. Lots of fresh sign around the stand. Hopefully before it gets dark! It's killing time everyone! Good luck to everyone out this evening!

Which Barnett? I know it's a Barnett because of that quiver bracket I can see. My backup bow is a Barnett TS370. I absolutely love the bow..........hate the quiver!

    Retired from teaching.

Working with a friend- building 2 houses. I've done some construction, but never a house from start to finish. My aunt and uncle tore the cottage down next door. This is one of the builds - 7 bedroom 4000+ square feet. Both completed by Memorial day.

    I'm not good at sitting.

My favorite condiment on a burger. Unfortunately, I am the only person in my family that can handle the spice.

I just had that little droptine buck come by. Surely he’s not the biggest buck in these woods.

To be honest with you, I hate retirement. The hospital was so much a part of who I am, I literally feel like part of me just died when I retired. I know because of my age and other factors it was necessary. But that doesn't change the way I feel. I mourn the loss every day

I absolutely enjoyed teaching. I hope i made a positive impact on many kids in my town. I retired with almost 200 sick days in my account. With my retirement system, it would be silly financially to keep working. I have a eclectic variety of employable skills. We will see where this goes. I think i need a short break from high schoolers, then I will find a youth group to work with. Sitting around is not good for anyone. I really just want more control of my time. I thank the good Lord for his guidance. Blessed to be a blessing.

I have days like that too Jim. But, then I think of all the things I didn't like about it. I miss the people and the daily social contact. I don't miss the work.

I’ve been cut and injured by a lot of things in my lifetime from table saws to routers to chisels to nail guns.

A Sawzall with a metal blade hurts a lot more than I thought it would.

Yup. I just cleaned it good with R/O water, then alcohol, put a bandage on it with some ACE wrap for pressure and went back to work.

You don’t stop working for a little boo boo.
