    20251115_144956.jpg My oldest daughter and I are on a ground hunting just off a really good active deer trail we found. Hopefully a hot Doe pulls a Buck to us. 2hrs to go.

    Hunted from [emoji6]am-pm and then rain started.. by the time I got to my truck, it started thunder and lightning and pouring out… that ended opening day of gun for us

    I’ve seen a spike, 2 fawns and a doe so far. As bad as this wind is I’m surprised they are even moving.

    18 turkeys having a party in the neighbors hay field. Really should have wore my wind proof stuff. I’m miserable right now and need to complain how dumb I am for underdressing.

    Son and I are sitting in a blind on a funnel, both holding rifles. Been here an hour and have about 2 more hours to dark. Bucks only.
    Cams are showing little bucks just starting to cruise here. Just starting to kick off. Good luck on the evening hunt everyone and congrats to all the recent killers.

    At 330 2 guys walk past my blind and ask me if I have permission I say yes and I ask if they do. My cousin’s daughter gave them permission to hunt up there. Common sense didn’t prevail they drove right past my truck on the way in. I’ll be hunting somewhere else tomorrow.

    He was having a mom moment. Stepped out of camp started down lane way behind storage shed there he stood , 20 yrds he dropped him rt. where we drag to gut.... lol

    Solid night in the stand. Saw a handful of deer once the wind died down. Decent little buck holed up with a doe about 60yds away in the thick stuff. Might take a shot at him if he comes out tomorrow.
