Hawk landed 15yds away. Very cool. Hen turkey putting down the ridge toward the lake…guessing it will come up the hill to roost.

    Only 1 skwirl.

Dang! Just had a shooter walk right at me. Got to 22 yards and stood there facing directly at me. 1 step is all i needed. He turned right instead and slowly walked out the other side of the marsh. No shot that way. How do they do that. The trail he was on would have put him right at the base of my tree. So close

Good luck PM shift, keep it rolling!

Pictures aren’t great but it was a hell of a morning out there. First doe I shot around 7:30 at about 10 yards, watched her crash 40 yards from the tree. A little before 8 I had this buck come storming into some grunts and he had me all tied up in my harness strap trying to figure out where he wanted to go, as soon as I saw him at about 80 yards I said I’d take him and went into kill mode. After the shot he ran SE and crashed after 50-60 yards from the tree almost on top of the first doe. I sat there for a bit and began to pack up when I turned around and to my surprise had a group of does at 50 yards and coming quick. The lead doe made the mistake of coming to 10 yards and began stomping and then blew once, not in my house, she made it about 20 yards and crashed. Then to top it all off my BILs brother, my other best friend sent me a “just stuck a buck, I’m getting down to come help you and then we’ll look for mine” text. It’s a day I won’t soon forget.

I don't understand how we could have 4 inches of snow and a hard freeze 4 nights in a row, and still have gnats bugging me worse than in the summer

Good luck PM shift and AM shift tomorrow!

I will be in a stand in WI by mid-day tomorrow trying to kill this guy. Lot of history on him.

Kinda wierd, haven't really heard of any big bucks takem aroumd here. Coworker was telling me a friend he bumped into at a gas station before work showed him a picture of a big buck. Said it scored 186 and was taken on one of the lake area draw sites. I can't gind amything to ubstantiate it so take it as a friend of a friend heard from a friend story. Something like that DNR would promote to garner attention to the program.

Last weekend before firearm season, will definitely start hearing about some good ones next weekend. Heck, even coworkers haven't shoy anything aside from does and small bucks.

A doe and twins at a distance. Sadly, gun season starts tomorrow. I'll be out with the 450.
