when I had good private, I did pass a few bucks like that 'cause there were larger around, now, he's a dead critter ....
I ended up seeing three bucks today, not too bad considering I didn't get in until noon. This 6pt NT must really trust me, he's given me slam dunk shots four times this season. I'm doing an all day hunt tomorrow, despite predicted winds of 15-25mph winds. This is like the second week now with breezy/windy conditions. I despise the wind!
Nothing for me this PM. Not seeing them on cameras either. I’m going to miss the next 2 days. Works piling up and the temps are getting up to 70. I’ll be bk out this weekend for rifle season. Good luck to everyone.

Pulling OT this weekend so won't be tempted to test my wrist. Thinking my realistic chance is going to be 1st weekend in Dec. which would be 2nd firearm season. I go back to the Dr. on the 1st and think I am coming to my senses on not trying to be a 20 year old again. I've made many dumb decisions in my youth that are coming back to haunt me with age. Can't imagine doing stupid things at 51 will somehow yield different results. Maybe it's time I heed the advice of the professionals

Back in the same stand as yesterday evening, I hear deer all around me. Never know when opportunity will strike! Worst case scenario we get to watch another sunrise, be safe out there everyone!
Sipping on coffee and looking at the weather for today. Have a plan made to put one our members on what I think is a hot setup. But, what do I know? Lol We'll hook up mid morning, and try and slip him in close to a community scrape / bedding area opening on the downwind side. Intel shows the does in there last night and a couple decent bucks using the area. I hope he kills a stud! I'm going to go and put in a ground blind setup on the other end of the lease for Saturday mornings gun opener since I can't climb up and hang in a tree. Probably take an hour or so to do. After that I'll circle back and hop in a blind I have on the upwind side of the bedding thicket 400 yards from his setup. Keep your fingers crossed for us today!
I’m up. I still have about 30 minutes to wait before first light. The leaves are dry and crunchy. There’s no wind. Any deer that gets close is going to sound like a tractor coming.
