i have been dancing to “I’m too sexy” in my head. If the tree is going to make me shake, might as well have fun with it.

Nothing but a couple of fox squirrels playing since the spike went by while I was setting up at 10:45. Hoping the wind dies down and movement picks up. About an hour and 45 left.

I hear you! Getting up that early and sitting for 11-12 hours takes it's toll pretty quickly. There was a time, a long time ago, when I could do a full week of dark to dark hunts. Not anymore!! Getting old isn't for wimps.

Here's a few more. They use a data plan so if you have 10 cameras its 60 per month plus they charge like 5 bucks more for each gig of data used. I get no where near that much use. 1000032887.jpg 1000032886.jpg 1000032885.jpg 1000032884.jpg

    Better late than never!!

    Dealing with retirement insurance.

So much for the weatherman saying the wind would switch to the NW this afternoon.

Oh well, I’m in the ladder stand looking for a new tree to put my saddle in.

    Good Luck, everyone!!!

The farmer is finally getting the Sorghum picked in the bottom field along the river. It opens up easy access to the main river crossing on the lease. Historically the next 4 days have produced my best big buck sighting of the year. Now I can get back there to gun hunt it come Saturday if the wind is right. No way I could hoof it back there. Its at least 1/2 mile.

Those pics are exceptional! Probably the best I've seen from any cam yet. I'm going to look into getting one of them. You have some really nice bucks in your area!

That's the main reason I hate the wind, along with the windchill! Not to mention everything is moving. I guess the deer dislike the wind for some of these same reasons.

I just spooked a doe. She came in behind me and didn't see her until she was close. I went to reach for my bow and she caught my movement. Blown opportunity!

Just for the record, I applaud anyone who sat out in the wind and cold today! :hail:
