All set up. I’ve been sick since yesterday afternoon. Feeling a little better now. Sat close to this corner the other evening and had no less than 15 deer end up here. There’s at least 2 bucks around here that I would shoot. Does are definitely on the menu too.

As routine I attach my light to my pack when I’m in the stand and that’s where it lives when not in use…

Normally it goes back in the same pocket of my pack as soon as I get back to my truck. Must have forgot to do that Saturday after killing that BB.

One unknown deer by stand on way in. Likely it will come back through. There was a nice buck here at 3am. Hopefully there's a little bigger one around doing some chasing.

    30* with a stiff wind.

    Let's go!

That is why I only buy cheap cams now. I research a lot before choosing. I've had just one camera that lasted and I won it off a site I use to be on. It was one of the original " smaller" cams from Browning. It lasted 10 yrs.! I then bought a browning and got 6 mos out of it. Then a few other brand names 100 to 150 with no more than a year use. I decided a cheap one would do. Even if I had to buy a few in a year. Well my average use on these 35.0 dollar ones from Amazon have gotten me 1-4 yrs of use.
I'm not framing these pics and i can get a general time line if stamp stops working due to sun angle and amount of light as well.

In a cold, snowy stand this evening. 11/11 is my killing day. Time to make it happen.

Neighbor's combine blew a hole in the engine. Would make a nice enclosed stand tonight!

Good lord, don't check the thread for a day and a half and got 30 pages to catch up on.

I got burned (and froze) out in Michigan, I didn't pack any of my real cold weather gear and AM temps were in the upper teens.

Came home last night to rest up and recharge. I'll be back in the woods Saturday.

Man, I think I’m in doe heaven. I’ve seen 7 does/fawns already. There’s gotta be some bucks around here. They’re missing out on some action. Good luck if you’re out. I’m hoping this wind dies down.

I need to start a seasonal company called Back Massage and Beers. Hire someone to hang out near large public hunting areas during the rut. 2 beers and a 20min back massage for $50. I'd pay that right now.

This is the second straight week with windy conditions in my region. And, it's supposed to continue into the weekend too. It really gets annoying after a while. I can't stand the wind when I'm hunting, or any other time for that matter.

I just dealt with that situation after my PC was down for two days. It's time consuming catching up if enough time goes by.

I will tell you what. 3 weeks of rutcation is absolutely great. However im on my 3rd week now and im beat. Them 4am alarms and a few all day sits really wears on ya. Tomorrow may solely be a rest day and then go at it Thursday and Friday. Gun comes in this weekend so I will probably not hunt but unsure how the rest of the week plays out.
