Ditto Jim! This thread has really helped me cope with not being able to chase my passion this year. I always enjoy LFTS and love the the fellowship, but this year it been more than that to me! Thank you friends for letting me join along.
Set up for the day, may look familiar from past years. If the crusie this creek like in years past, I should have a shot under 30.
Congrats to the killers that I have missed. Sorry I missed these stories and pics I had 10 pages to catch up on
I was in Ny with @Fix I shot a doe last night. We had snow to track her in. My quartering away shot was back further than I would have liked. It was snowing and the snow was continuing to mid morning. We would not have been able to followed the blood due to the snow. So we pushed her. Could not find the arrow. Believe it stayed up inside her. At best I believe I took out off lung. She never laid down. She stopped 3 times and we found a lot of blood. My health app had us walking 1 1/2 miles tracking her. I feel awful, I know it happens. It’s happened to me before. I’ll be back out Thursday am.
Yes. I just clipped them onto my pack today. They are very light but on cold days like today they are worth bringing along.
Three years and it was only $35, not bad at all! I have $145 cams that didn't last that long. You don't always get what you pay for.
Was going through my pack and realized I left my headlamp in the truck. Get down to grab and back up the tree. Hopefully, that wasn’t the 20 minutes I needed to be here for a buck to come.
Conditions are great. 35 or so. Feels like June compared to last 2 days. Im up high ground with some obvious deer traffic signs. Hope I at least seen 1 deer!
