    Seen 3 deer this evening, a spike, 4p and a small 8p. My target buck came out in front of my stand 200yds away but I think it would have been too dark to shoot.

    Also 300 yds from me my friend was in my number1 stand and got this guy.

    Put them on the dryer every night. I even take my insoles out and put those in the dryer. The inside of your boots will hold so much moisture, that alone will get you another hour or 2 of comfortable feet. It was 23* degrees here this morning and I was able to sit daily comfortably until 10:45 with one thin layer of merino wool socks and mid range much boots.

    I went from flatlands yesterday to some rugged terrain today. My 50 yr old butt was going up and down these 10 to 15 foot high mini ravines with blow downs. Picked up some good tracks and the deer pop looks good. It will be packed with hunters tomorrow and I hope I found a spot well away from them.

    I’ll get some better pics tomorrow. He’s not the deer I thought he was but I’ll still take him! Decent 8pt. The shot was something too. Not sure how it went in through belly and came out offside shoulder but he did about face plant at the shot so idk…. I’m confused. He ended up circling around and crossing the creek. The dog knew we all thought the dog was crazy. It was a straight vertical bank where that deer made it up. Then he opened up like no other. I’m happy with him. Got to knock some dust off. Now my second tag is for the big boy. I’ll get better pics here soon. IMG_1059.jpeg

    What are these boot dryers you guys are talking about? I hunt the entire season in non-insulated hiking boots. :lol:

    Finishing up coffee and headed out the the door. With the windchill it’s says about 18degrees. Good luck this morning. No snow on the ground here yet but calling for some in the next hour.

    Pretty sure its 1-4 discs in the lumbar that I aggravated Sunday afternoon, the pickleball games got a bit competitive and I know I overdid it.
