Buck never showed. Either stayed bedded or had a exit out of sight I don’t know about. Absolutely worth the try though. May have pictures of him on camera. If it is the same buck, he is huge.
Try to find them local and see if someone makes them. Definitely go that route before trying popular box store type ones. Sent from my SM-S908U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Okay. I think I have all of the scorecard issues handled that I can handle at this point. I did see two deer this evening so it wasn't a total bust. They crossed the valley behind me at around 60 yards. I couldn't tell what they were but since there were two I'll assume they were does. That will make me feel better. I'll be getting on stand about a half hour before first light tomorrow. I prefer an hour before first light, but not when it's 22 degrees. I'm just hoping there is no wind accompanying those temps. That might not sound cold to some of you northern folks, but here where the temps were in the 70's just three days ago, that is freakin' cold.
Oh yeah! Looking forward to the pics/story. Sent from my SM-S908U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Did not find blood. Searched initial area for 15 minutes when I shot. Got down at lunch and looked again for close to an hour. Followed all of the surrounding trails around the island he was going into. No blood. No hair. Nothing. Everything I saw points to a clear miss. I know I had some buck fever going on. He caught me off guard big time. I was paying attention to some chasing going on, look over, and there he was. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
