Eating some lunch in the truck then I’m heading in. No DMP so it will be buck only for me. First things first find a tree. Signal is weak so I doubt I’ll be checking in.

Unrelated then, wow though, pretty expensive bow for that to happen. Hopefully they have good warranty/customer servive backing it.

I don’t know much at all about crossbows. I was just borrowing it from my brother while he’s out of town. I know the strings and cables weren’t new, but not sure on life expectancy for them.

You can get quite a few years out of CB strings/cables if you maintain them, mainly waxing them. Also, lubing the rail is recommended too. I've had the same string on my CB for probably 10 years now and it still looks new. I apply a good coat of wax every season, which is often enough for my CB, because I don't shoot it a lot. I just take a couple practice shots each season to make sure it's still accurate.

If I 1000015071.jpg knew how to post a video, I would. My cousin was feeding cattle this morning in WI...

Congratulations Eric on a dandy buck. Good shot!

Dang that's scary. I because I sling my cross bow to carry always have my cable lube/wax in my pocket. Carrying cause some rub on my coat. As I sit and await a shot I warm up the cable wax and rub it into the strings to avoid fraying. Dang strings are expensive, replaced mine last year after many many years of use.

I often post before I catch up on previous posts, because it's usually 4-5 pages and takes time to read them all. I want to remember the details of what I wanted to post without being preoccupied/sidetracked spending 15 mins reading previous posts. Maybe I'm just strange?

Thinking they bed across in the swamp and will come this way. Who knows.
