I'm up in MI. No wind at all. Never heard the woods this quiet in daylight before. All I can hear is tinnitus. Barely any signal so have to catch up on today's posts later- GL everyone

Ended up heading back home around 12:30. Nothing seen after the 8 point. Wife’s had a rough week so spent a couple of hours with her. Just got back in the tree. Good luck those that are out.
A little hair some clear liquid and dig marks in gravel no deer did see a bunch of fresh rubs on their place from the line.
Had a spike or forky pushing some does around about 60 yds out. Would probably shoot either at this point if given and opportunity
Scrape sit was a bust, got a nice 20 minute power nap. I am up overlooking a bedding field with a big thicket behind me. Oaks are dropping. I haven’t killed a deer with a gun in five years. I am hoping that streak ends tonight. i can shoot anywhere from 60 yards out to 275. Hopefully that won’t be necessary.
Slow sit, had several cams show movement throughout the day just not at my stand. Wind is picking up into the double digits and the temp is going to drop double digits in the next 2 hrs. Let’s hope it gets them moving.
There are three active scrapes SE of me at 65, 120, 145 yards. Can’t shoot to them because it is too thick but the SW will give a buck the illusion that he is safe walking betweem the field edges and thicket behind me to come from or go to the scrapes. Pine tree thicket 200 yards NE, which based on trail camera and last year sightings should be hold deer. Pretty good scenario as long as this heat cools off for movement before dark.
The buck ended up pushing the doe out of thicket. Had her at 30’yds and closing distance until she caught be moving. Had a stare down then she turned and bounded the other was 20’yds and stared at me some more then went back into thicket.
Owls were going off about 20 minutes ago, hopefully deer feel like getting active. About an hour and 20 minutes left. Cold front comingin tomorrow should get deer on their feet.
Sat till 11am, rained the way there and stopped as I arrived ... signed in and I got set up in plenty of time before light ..NE from 3-7mph/44 deg. .... good funnel area, killed a buck here years back... at 8a a med. size doe came in from the marsh, hoping a buck was following ... nope, she fed on acorns for a half hour around me and went back in the marsh/belly full ...nothing else seen but woodpeckers, and the first Juncos of the season, just in time for the storm thats comin (3-10 inches/lake effect) ... no PM hunt cause of the rain/snow that is coming and work early tomorrow .. not sure when Ill get back out ... maaaaybe next sat./opening gun ??, I'll go hide in the archery only area (blaze orn. still required) .. weather permitting .. ;0)
