I have a feeling that I'm going to get up to Michigan family deer camp just in time to help somebody drag out a buck. ... and that's OK.
I think I hear bucks fighting in the swamp about 100 yards NE of me. Maybe the loser will come this way.
Just had an 8 point slip past at 50. Waited until he was behind some brush at 75ish yards and grunted at him. He came back to 45. He smelled where the button buck was then he kept walking away.
Nobody hunting that property again, going to chalk it up to light pressure at this point. Seen this guy right across the street in the cut corn. Would have been atound 8:15. Normally wouldn't be of interest, but 3 or 4 years since last kill, it looks like that bar fly at 3am compared to when you walked in at 9pm Not that I'll see it in late December anyway. He is the blue line on east side of street
Decided to hunt rather than work this morning. Had my #1 at 75.....seen two other bucks, one was borderline and 2 does. Giving it 15 more minutes then it's time for chores.
I was going to shoot a doe that walked in front of me at about 20yds but when I went to raise my crossbow it brushed against some metal hooks that are on my safety vest. It made a noise and it was game over. I've never even noticed those hooks before and I'm not sure what purpose they even serve........except to spook deer! I'll be cutting them off when I get home Sent from my SM-S916U1 using Tapatalk
One PBJ down. Probably save the other for this afternoon. Wish I would have brought some cookies, lol.
Bearlick - congratulations on the double! Johnny- I don't remember that md slogan, but I sure do enjoy the tickle . Can't believe I haven't seen any deer. Sitting until 11.
