What a cluster. I hate public! My 3-4 best go to spots had trucks parked there. Find spot n+1 and start , had to check regs as this area used to have a weird restriction… haul rope falls off stand tangling in the brush. Sticks falling all over, clink/clank. Finally get set at legal shooting and a deer boogers out behind me… I may need to get a Carolina panther watch or something

Made more noise than I liked getting in. Did not seem to bother the deer had a 4pt come out as soon as I sat down and came to 5yds walking around them strolled off. Multiple deer out of range moving through the timber.
I’m up, north breeze 5-10 25 degrees. Only downside is it’s opening day of firearms… the neighbors are getting blown at so that’s a good sign because the deer usually come my way. Good luck everyone
Legal light now, been set up for about 45 minutes. Same area as yesterday morning, but about 100 yards further west. It is a gun permit hunt so I look like a pumpkin. Have the bow and the .270. Bow, if close enough, rifle if not. Hopefully something comes through today. Yesterday was a complete bust.
