Thanks everyone! We had this buck on camera a few times this fall and I never thought I would be wrapping my hands around him! We’ve had some similar sized bucks here before but they always eluded us. He stepped out at just before eleven thirty, worked to my mock scrape and gave me a broadside shot at twenty-six yards. Infront of my trail camera. I watched him bound off twenty yards, stop and tip over. Thank god I caught a glimpse of what I Think was a different deer about an hour before hand, otherwise I wouldn’t have made the call to stay till noon. The irony of the conversation I was having literally a few minutes before this happened (check the time stamps) Image1762459834.033243.jpg

I am just beyond thrilled, this year has been incredible, three bucks down for me. This one was the biggest by far but also the most special since I had dad with me! Good luck to all you killers out there and hey, mid day walkers are real. That was the first buck I have ever seen mid day!

I’ve been up since 3. As soon as I sat down had unknown deer working away from me. Grunted a few times but showed no interest or didn’t hear. Nice bucks were killed today congrats to everyone and good luck tonight.

I knew where I wanted to be this morning. As I walked past the stand area in which I shot that buck last week, the one that ran off with my arrow, I stopped and walked back to the same tree. Told myself, Ive hunted that area twice and the bucks did the same thing so why moved. I used the same tree bc the wind was good. Buck came right in at first light, and I shot that buck not 10 yds from the buck from last week. 18 yds shot, dead in under 50 yds. He prob wasnt alive more than 20 seconds.
