well well, so much for the warmer than usual Nov. predictions ... BIG cold coming next week ... the full moon will be waning too .... and of course, I'm stuck working .. warmer THIS weekend/rain, the the cold hits Monday, hope I dont get rain/winded out this weekend ... I'll have one more day to get out after this weekend and 'cause of work, I wont be back out till the end of Nov. or in Dec. ... 'que sera sera' ..... but hey, at least I can piss ... ;0) .. In most of the Midwest, South and East, these will be the coldest daytime temperatures of fall, so far. This weekend, highs will be stuck in the 30s in the Northern Plains and western Great Lakes. On Monday, highs could be stuck in the 30s as far south as the Ohio Valley, and 40s will be as warm as it gets during the day from the Northeast's I-95 corridor as far south as Atlanta. Morning lows will plunge into the teens in parts of the Midwest, 20s into the Deep South, and even some 30s in northern Florida by early next week. This will lead to a freeze into parts of the Deep South by Tuesday morning. If that wasn't enough, strong winds in the wake of the cold front will send wind chills plummeting into the teens and 20s in the Midwest, parts of the Northeast and South, at times.
Ive been in a tree for 2 hours. Ate lunch and did some work stuff on the phone. Haven't seen a thing. I picked a spot were a bunch of terrain features create a natural funnel in the woods. Nothing this morning. Full wind switch last night and warmer today. They have to start moving again sometime. Headed out for final few hrs. Hope I can at least get eyes on a good one
I'm up for what's likely my last sit with a bow this year. Have a lot of work for the next week and then it's ML into rifle....not thrilled with my choice of trees for tonight but whatever, I'm not moving now lol
Went to vote and pick up the 2 doe tags. How to tell it's way too windy, besides loosing power 2x's. The turbines were ALL shut down. Will try going out tomorrow, I at least feel human now.
