Thanks.....She's dead - Had to get down to move her out of the trail so I can hunt the rest of the day
Iver always found deer movement somewhat slow from Like Nov 1 to 5. Prob combo of my skillset or a combo of skillset and quality of properties. Cut off tarsals and hang em in a tree?
Even worse when they wave, lets you know they knew you were there More on point, my favorite tree at uncles was right on the main road/trail through the property. Some guys rode an atv to the back stand or if they were successful used it for recovery. Either way when multiple hunters were out always had some sort of human activity throughout the morning. Deer didn't seem to mind it aside from during and maybe half hour after. Unless he's setting up 200yds away, then bring lots of apples to throw at him
Was actually about to post. Feels a lot better today, it's adjusting to not using it now. Sucks as it is my dominant hand, can't write with pressure, keys in other pocket etc. I guess worst case I can always try to scout a bit, damn my luck.
Do you have a crossbow that you may be able to use since you most likely won't be able to draw your bow back?
I'm crossbow only at this juncture due to bad shoulder(s). Probably have some issues with a crossbow though, mainly the cocking. Has the crank set up. Biggest issue would be the post shot routine. Gutting, dragging, loading etc... It's one thing when paying out of pocket and trying it, but workman's comp and a lot of hunters at work not sure that would be a wise decision on my part.
Congratulations JW! Hunted with my nephew at his place and he put up a buck decoy … at 8:20 had 2 doe coming to the plot when they saw the decoy and turned around Did some research and everything I read said that doe will not come near a buck decoy this time of year… looks like that is true lol Gonna be back out the last four hours of the day and see what shakes … minus the decoy this time Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
