Great pictures. No doubt there have been times when I’m hunting that a feel a deep connection to God and a profound sense of freedom and happiness.

I'm up, got in clean far as I could tell, 20min later than what I wanted but glad for that b/c the big 10 we're after was 50 yds from my stand just 10 minutes after the alarm went off

Sat down about 6. I've seen a handful of does, but none close enough to shoot.

It got light at 650 - i can sit until 915.

    Good luck ya chumps!

I love walleye fishing the Detroit river and lake erie in the spring march - may.

I would like to have 3 LFTS regulars join me for a 2 day trip next spring. I have all the gear. I am not a charter and not looking to get paid. Just want to hang with a few of you in person.

If you want to join me you must be: flexible about days - I will watch weather and water color. I'd like to go midweek. You must be able to pay for half a hotel room- most likely the Townplace Suite in Monroe on North Dixie highway- about $100 per person.

If we fish the river we will probably jig. If we fish out of Sterling State Park, we will probably troll. It's an absolute world class walleye fishery. I fish over there 20-30 days each spring - I know what's going on and how to get on fish.

You don't need fishing poles, you do need warm and waterproof clothes. Must get a Michigan (and maybe Ontario) fishing license.

Let's have some Live From The Boat time!

Message me if interested. Please don't reply and clutter up LFTS.

Not to clutter up the thread and I can't commit at this time, but for those who haven't been, walley jigging on the Detroit River is an absolute blast and long as the weather cooperates, you will limit out before noon.

Just watched a falcon or similar sort snatch a piney squirrel of a branch without even putting on the brakes. That was cool.
    Only 1000 more to go

Just killed a doe......I was trying to use her as a live decoy but she hung out under 20 yards from me for too long

Don’t these deer know it’s November? Slow here, dad had a small buck chasing a doe, and then a shooter come right under his stand but could never get him to slow down for a shot. He came by me just out of range, but nothing since that and that was right at first light

Just had this happen to me.

    1000011459.jpg

Neighbor decided to hunt for first time all season...at 815. On November 4. Shared easement.

Oh well maybe he'll bump a booner over to us.

About 30 minutes of walking. Found 2 fresh scrapes. Out in open timber, so probably just a cruzer buck. I still go freshen them up though 20251104_092823.jpg
