My guess, being that time of year, a falling leaf of some sort with motion blur causing a bit of size and/or depth perception trickery(can't think of the word I'm struggling for  )

I'll go with a leaf in motion, cause I really want to hunt there tomorrow. I rather think that as to think that it might be aliens or ju ju magic crap.

It'll be ok. Just don't think too much about as you're walking in in the dark!

Kind of looks like a turtle upside down on its back, haha!

But my guess is a deer running by really fast and it blurred. You can see eye shine on the left side

That was my first thought also, but I'm still on the fence about what it is.

Had this guy follow my scents trail to 15 yards while I was on the ground. He stuck around for a while. 1000031672.jpg

Afternoon hunt I walked 3 miles into spot 1 no sign. Spot 2 walked a mile no sign. Spot 3 I walked almost a mile then cut one track on the creek. Big mature track. Found some rubs on a point. Didn't get set til 415. 6pm or so I hear a big buck coming from 100 yds out and dropped off the hill. He came right to me. 18 yds. Shot right through the backstraps. Sun sets. I have never felt that depleted after a hunt. If I had a sleeping bag I would have just slept in the woods. Big 140inch buck.

I took off my peep this yr bc of low light issues with my eyes. After talking to some people I think my anchor pts under stress caused a lot of this. I wasn't even nervous last night. Aimed right on his heart and shot way high. I got a peep put back on today and pray I get one more chance after licking my wounds. Sorry for being a Debbie downer, I had nothing left after hunting yesterday and was really down.

We are home, nothing moved through between 2:30 and dark. That nail in my wife’s tire really ruined the day. Last deer came through at :2:10 pm. If we had been able to get out there by 10 am like I wanted to, my son would have had at least three opportunities to get his first deer at 11:15, 11.45, and 2:10. We only 55 yards off the scrape and all the deer walked within 10 yards of it. Very frustrating. Oh well, youth weekend is over Friday- Tuesday is my turn.

Thanks ! I hope so! here’s another pic from about a week ago he’s got some junk too. Probably about 13 scorable. He’s on the neighbors side more than ours but it’s about to get crazy anyway who knows where he’ll end up. We do have plenty of does but I’m noticing a healthy population of bucks this year which is surprising with the drought we had. Should make for a good rut! Resized_Screensho.jpeg

Alright guys I backed out after following the trail a little ways. Arrow and initial blood looked good but shot was a touch back and i did not want to go any further. I suspect lung and liver.

Can't wait for an update, best of luck on the track!

It's 3:30am and I have the DST blues, but I'll still be on stand before first light! Good luck to everyone hunting today! I'm going to try to make it that big 8pt's last day haunting me. I can't really do much actual LFTS because of spotty a signal and it drains my phone battery much too quickly. I'll check back in this evening.

Coffee down and headed out shortly. This will be my last sit this trip. I’ll be back out on Friday. It’s 30 degrees and calm. Good luck out there this morning.
