crappy day for me, zero deer seen but I did get my stand from last night moved over about 50 yards to where I got a clean shot to both sides of that shooting area. Wind might F it up, but at least i got a 360* shot to the entire pocket in the swamp.

First deer I’ve shot and not been able to find with my bow. Not too in my head about it… I felt I did everything perfect. Was just a few inches off. It played out as perfect as you could have imagined. Worked scrapes at 40yds grunted him in to 25yds gave me a broadside shot. Game of inches.

    Was roughly a 120” 8.

I get it dude. I've lost way more deer than you, and more than most average hunters. That's what pushed me to heavier set ups. Two holes are almost always better than one.

Shooting 65+lbs, 540gr, I have no doubt that I will punch through almost all offside shoulders.

Dang it!! I was hoping you weren’t going to say Rage. There wasn’t anyone that loved them more than me. Finally, I was tired of incomplete pass-thru’s and lack of penetration.
I changed arrows, arrow weight, and broadheads. Now I’m completely thrilled with my choices. The deer don’t even flinch it goes thru them so fast.
    Good Luck on the search!!

you can have best of both worlds. Plenty of hybrid mech/trad heads out there. Or fixed w/ bleeders. Key is getting over 500gr in TAW. I can get into tons of detail in an independant thread, but 500gr is the magic number for most shooters over 60lbs.
