You know what is cool about the entire hunt? Met that young kid and he is the one who worked on that dog tracker for me. Paying it back.

I’m up. Deer are feeding as I climbed into my stand. They’re about 80yds away. Hopefully they feed up the hill not down or across.

I’m back up for the afternoon sit. A little earlier than normal and probably for nothing but but it’s better than sitting at home.

All settled in. Got a good wind. Anything is fair game tonight.

    My view for the evening.

Went out because the rain eased a bit. Still got soaked but wanted to check trail in case I decide tomorrow is a go. They keep changing the report. Says it's not raining here. Tell that to my soaked coat and hair. Winds straight out of west.
Really?, for I was walking NE and my face was soaked and freezing. Only thing they got right was speed. Any ways after the deluge I found fresh tracks on trails around stand.
The garden cam had a few doe around mid night and a bunch of raccoon? You could see it was pouring, I can't imagine they like clover that much. It is pretty cold and soaked, could be eating grub or worms? If so I can't complain unless the birds become an issue this winter.

Had a great sit this morning 4 or 5 different bucks, 3 does, and a few fawns. Now I’m up and strapped in on a different property looking for 2 specific bucks, one would be my pb and the other is an 8 that nobody in their right mind would pass up.

Good luck killers, let’s put a few on the ground before the calendar flips a page!

Dry down here for the time being. Almost like spring when the wind is not blowing. Birds singing. The wind is not as bad as forecast yet.

Congratulations on a great buck BH4B.

    Congratulations on the doe Slugger.

Sorry to hear you didn’t find that buck this morning VS. Dust off and get back out there. It’s go time.

I’ve been on stand for about 45 minutes. I got to my last step on the climbing sticks and look out in the field and there’s a fawn 30 yards away. I can’t believe it didn’t pick me off. This wind is brutal. I’m hoping it calms down the last hour. Good luck!

Those sleds are a lifesaver! Can haul all kinds of things in there: deer, gear, trapping gear, beavers etc.

I used my for waterfowl hunting mostly. I’m hoping to get to NY and hunt some public and try it out in another week or so.

I’m in. Kicked up a few that were bedded right by my stand. Not too worried. Just looking for a buck to cruise this bedding. 42 degrees with on and off sprinkles.

Get done tonight and head 4 hours west to ND. Have never hunted there during the pre rut. Should be interesting.

I just had a lone doe come under my stand. A minute later a little 6 point followed and was grunting. Now I just need a mature buck to follow.

Your not that far away really send it up here! It's been raining all day and pretty darn brisk.
Had to go out and my car cams were all "beaded up" with rain. It set off alarms a couple of times.

It’s possible I’m the only one dumb enough to do this but….

PSA: Don’t park your boat 1.5 miles from where you are expecting to hunt to scout through unknown terrain. I almost gave up on my hunt and turned back about 1/2 way because it was so thick and almost impossible to navigate. It took two hours to get to my stand tree and after I looked for my buck I had to get back to my boat in the dark between that and dragging him out today my leg feel like they are actively trying to rip off my body
