    The dog tracker did not feel good about the shot and would not come. Time to go home, shoot my bow and prepare for tomorrow. Let it go and move on

    I hunted the same spot this morning. I heard one deer run behind me and then I saw four does walking down in the valley.

    I wasn’t very comfortable with the shot windows I had there so I moved about 40 yards east. I have much better coverage now and if a buck works the scrape he should still come to me this afternoon.

    It’s definitely easier then bending over and dragging by antlers or legs on my back. Still took me an hour to drag it 300 yards through head high grass over and around large deadfall’s and the other nasty stuff on this property by myself. I drilled six holes on the sides so I could use pull straps to hold the legs and head in and definitely recommend that.
