I’m up, I planned on going to a different stand but the sign in and around this box blind is really good. Several scrapes and a bunch of rubs image.jpg image.jpg IMG_3956.jpeg

Well...first screw up of the evening. Forgot my hat at home and forgot I was wearing a black hoodie under my camo jacket. Hopefully the deer pay no attention to my black hood.

Jumped 2 does bedded under a willow next to the road on my entry. Otherwise think it was relatively quiet.

    Good luck everyone.

Found a dead head. Doesn't appear to have been shot but who knows. Also found a cool rub on a funky tree. 1000031037.jpg 1000031057.jpg

Think I’ve decided I’m going to try and tackle some of this buckthorn this winter/spring. It’s way too thick and needs to be controlled. Would be a massive project would just need to focus on one area at a time.

Why does she have to be promiscuous? Maybe she could just play hard to get? I just want a doe without fawns to come by. Nearly every doe on our property keeps throwing twins so I'd rather take out some random nanny

I’m seat up in a different area overlooking a double scrape where two bucks have daylighted in the past two days.

I did go back to the area the buzzards were roosting and nothing. I guess it was just a coincidence. It sure got my hopes up though.

I’m just gonna do a mental flush and start over.

A doe and fawn just got up from behind me. Feeding about 50 yards out, come on buck!

Just had a spike come in grunting. Then he just layed down. He is stairing hard into the thicket the other 2 deer came out. Maybe a big buck in there with a doe.

Got rained on a bit. Wasn’t expecting that. Lone doe snuck through the swamp at 80. Button buck at 25 getting a drink.
