I live alone. I stop using all scents in laundry and bathroom labor day weekend. Our archery starts Oct 1. I don't like stinky ( gf claims it smell good!) clothes from Oct 1 - Mid Jan.

Had two mature doe feed around me for 10 mins at 5:30pm. One of them was only 10yrds out. Would have been a slam dunk shot if I were into killing my bait. That's four deer total for today, not too bad for my woods. Still hoping to see my target 8pt again at some point. Still two good weeks ahead of us! :tu:

I'd try to pry it out before it grows in forever. Bring some tools.

I saw a buck tonight to get excited about, been waiting for this to happen. It’s on a very small chunk I have been staying out of, I just hope he hangs till weekend. Gonna sit sat pm and all day Sunday, then I’m gonna hunt all day Monday too. Brains making moves in overdrive!

Neighbor called the cops and reported my vehicle as suspicious. I’ve parked on our easement road for the last 10 years. I parked my same car in their actual driveway all last fall and she claims she didn’t remember what it looks like. I’m like… I had beers with your husband like 3 times last year. Cop got us on speaker phone and she sounded pretty embarrassed haha.

yeah last year I shot 3 that I did not recover, missed 2 really nice ones, and shot/killed/recovered the wrong buck. Awful season.

    use something like this:

    https://www.amazon.com/ALPS-OutdoorZ-Realtree-APX-Size/dp/B0DJN2HPKT/ref=sr_1_19?sr=8-19

comfy, lightweight, carries enough but not too much. ALPs Outdoors quality is really, really good too. You can buy chinese ones for slightly cheaper but they won't be better. They make a slightly larger one too called the Big Bear that converts to a full backpack. I had the previous model (same idea, different name) that lasted me probably 10 seasons before the main zipper blew out, and that was my fault.

I heard that grunt around 545 and heard a bit of rustling 15 minutes later. Never showed. I had all my attention that way and when I turned around a big doe was locked onto me. Didn’t help the N wind turned to NNW. Guess what direction they came from.

She locked on to me for 5 minutes. Never did end up spooking. Just walked off with her 2 fawns.

    Be back out tomorrow.

how the hell is it still so green there? In MI and WI it's pretty much FALL. Huge difference between today and 2 weeks ago.

    Cool footage. GREAT shot.

    It's a new nickname for me...Todd.

I like nicknames. They think it's funny.
