If it's going to happen, it's going to be in the last 10 minutes of daylight. Good Luck Ash!

Man, please careful with those straps. When they're left out all year they can rot and break with no warning. It's happened to my brother-in-law a couple of times and once he actually fell. Needless to say, he is very careless

It happens, the stand belongs to the tree now.
    Eventually, it’ll look like this.
I still hunt out of this one every year, killed a small truckload of deer out of it.
Best part is, when the straps rot away, it still ain’t budging.

You might be a redneck if you realize your no scent clothing detergent is gone and you used your no scent body wash in its place....

My uncle's place had a couple stands like that, one was aluminum tubes, he would just net a few new seats every couple of years. The other was angle iron with a plywood seat, to get in it there was a 8' aluminum ladder bungee strapped to a horizontal limb, the stand was only about 10' off the ground. Both were solid as a rock.

Yeah, the aluminum one was chained to the tree originally, tree grew over everything, the angle iron one was lag bolted into the tree.

On the walk back to another stand there was a big oak with 2x4's still nailed into it as steps. Think I posted a picture of it in one of the LFTS threads a few years back. Amazing the sketchy chit old timers got away with

Had a heard of doe come in. Guessing 5 or 6. First small doe peels off to my right. The 2nd doe a nice makes me out. I already have my xbow on her but she’s only giving me frontal shot. I’ve never taken one of those we a bow or x bow. She spun and took off and took the group with here back about 70yds into the timber. With a few minutes left I packed up and left. Saw between 7 and 9 tonight.

Ahhhhhh, that feeling you get when you open the battery compartment to your headlamp that you haven't used in 2 years and there's no corroded batteries in it

Batteries still tested good, but put some fresh in for good measure

Am I the only one or do others of you spray your dryer with cover scent hoping the scent from the previous clothing will not get on my hunting clothes, lol!

Every year, and already put a bottle down on the dryer tonight for tomorrow evenings wash.

Then straight out of dryer into unscented garbage bags with a few more sprays then mashed up to push the air out and tied tight
