Saw a 4pt at 8:45 ands hunter just walking around aimlessly about ten minutes ago,
Don’t know how they expect to kill a deer that way? These deer don’t play that game.

I accept most of the blame for placing a bad shot. But I think I am done with these small 3-blade broadheads. 1 1/8" cut. I've killed multiple deer with the same head. BUT the blood trails just suck. I've double lunged a couple does and they just leave the tiniest drops of blood. Both this buck and last years just didnt leave much blood. Obviously it would help if I could do my part and hit the right spot. Frustrated.

Just a random dead head unfortunately. Not the deer I shot last night.

The scrape that the 8pt I’m after made was torn up big time since I last hunted Saturday.
I got 12 pics on my cam since then, so I’ll have what buck did it on video.

Getting criminals locked up in the morning and being able to bowhunt in the afternoon. Quite fulfilling day on the rise.

Oh no,no,no,no! He stops at the mail box , clearly visible now. NO shirt, belly rolling out..WTH!...OK So it is firmly offical nothing will ever surprise me again.

Rewarding if they are truly being locked up. They seem to be catch and release here…

Ugh. At least it’s still useable. Bucko had to be there to survey his handiwork.

    I've seen that look before.....

"I didn't shut the door behind you".

Will be a laughable memory before long.

Mine made it through the wall in basement bathroom.

In the past week I've had these 3 bucks show up. I'd probably shoot any of them. 1000005577.jpg 1000005539.jpg 1000005536.jpg

The reason I say probably is because I know of at least 1 buck that's a real giant but no pics of him yet. If I get him on cam, those other ones may be off and I'll just concentrate on the big boy!

INDY - if you don't like your blood trails...go BIG. Deer are really not that big. Put a 2" broadhead through them. I've had good success with the Mega Meat by G5, the Grim Reaper 2" - both mechanical & both 3 blade.

The doe i shot was my first with the Sevr 2" hybrid - 2 blade mechanical with 2 cutters

With my shot location, I'm surprised I found her. Must have just caught a vein or artery.

The Sevr is interesting to me. I bought the smaller hybrid for elk and picked up a couple of 2s for deer. I'll try to put a good shot on a deer this week with the Sevr and report on how it performs.

I've used the 2 blade Rage ever since it came out. I've never had a problem with it. Always gives great blood trails.

I got down at 10:00, pulled a couple of cards on my way out. The 10pt I was after last year showed back up. Also the doe I shot is alive and well, shot was low like I thought circled in yellow. It’s going to be an interesting couple of weeks in the backyard I hope IMG_3944.jpeg IMG_3943.jpeg IMG_3942.jpeg
