Drove past that property again this morning. No one hunting it, this period ends Halloween. Not sure what to think about it. Did start carrying the hunting paperwork with me, becoming womewhat of a regular in the area don't want to be called in for potentially casing the area or seen as a potential poacher

Seen 9 deer total, all in cut corn on the way back. 25'ish minutes after sunrise time

    Not until Dec. 16 - 31st

Long time to go, but getting closer every week. Mainly wanting to know how much pressure there is.

Must be hunting season. Inside of my truck looks like a nuclear fallout area...

Can’t you hunt anywhere else in the meantime?

Coyote at 60. Wouldn't come into me rabbit squeak calling at it. Stopped him 2x but he didn't even swing around to scent check

Good deal, just was wondering. That’s good the property doesn’t seem to be getting pressure, could be killer for the dates your going

My excitement isn't necessarilly on this particular piece, it's more the opportunity. If successful it ups my odds of getting drawn the following year(s). 10-15 minute drive vs 45 minute drive. Only real downside to them is they are overgrown. Can't set foot on them until the hunt date so no clear entry route/exit, just have to adlib and hope for some sort of clearing somewhere within.

Didn't see a thing and the scrapes were not touched. Not sure when I'll be back in that spot, but I do know I need to shift that stand to another tree in a much better position. Figuring out a spot is too much fun, but I really don't want to burn a spot. I think they aren't quite roaming in daylight just yet.

Checked some cams. Lots of young bucks moving in daylight, nothing mature yet though. Did have one 2 year old bear on cam about an hour before dark, big boys are all still 9pm and later. Lots of rain here this week, gonna try to do a couple mid day sits up top if I can.

I think they’ve patterned you by now. Best wear the watch on the first outing.

Didn’t make it out this morning unfortunately. I’ll be on standby this evening on a small piece I haven’t been to since I shot a doe a few weeks ago. Going to do a hang and hunt and see what happens.
