That's what I said to myself this evening, and I had the non-typical that I got on cam yesterday morning at 20yrds, broadside! What a horse of a body he has. I got good video of him as he fed with the same spike he was with yesterday. I watched them feed for about 45 mins, then the non-typical bedded not 20yrds from me. He got up after about 25mins and they both fed away from me just before dark. This was just 30yrds from where I got this pic of him from yesterday. I think the spike is his lookout, because as he was bedded the spike just kept feeding nearby. I could have killed him, but I knew I wouldn't if I saw him. What a great hunt this was tonight! It reminds me of why I continue to sit long hours even when I'm not seeing anything. Oct 23rd, and I already let one walk. The best two weeks of the season are still ahead. Doing my first morning hunt tomorrow, looking forward to it!
Wasn't able to take my 2 weeks this November, or even a week for that matter. Looking ahead. I'll be taking my vacation next year Oct. 30th through Nov. 15th. Will have both Halloween and Friday the 13th in it. Won't have another Friday the 13th in November until 2037.
