Doing some truck scouting this morning. If I was looking for turkeys, it would've been a banner morning for my area. Deer must be off today too

Spent the weekend hanging cameras, and setting up a ground blind over at my river lease.

Got these on cell cam already.

That is pretty high up. It looks like almost 30', at least 25'.

Probably 25’. Need to be able to see over the rise but still have a chance of not being seen.

Been focusing on my physical fitness. Find it to be as important as any other hunting skill.

Getting pumped now! Just got back from visiting my buddy up in Alberta, got to hike in banff for a couple days. Friday is the opener for MD! Going to sit opening morning on some public, who knows what will happen, then I’ll hunt either Saturday morning on public again or Sunday morning when the cold front moves in on public. We shall see

It really is a bowhunter's paradise. Wayne Zaft killed one of the worlds biggest typical whitetails in the Bow Zone.

The story of why he didn't enter it in the record books is worth reading. Very interesting.

He has not, he’s mostly a rifle hunter, I got him into archery a little when we were in college in NC

My parents lived in Calgary for 12 years and I hunted Alberta several times. If you do not have family or a good friend that can "host" you and act as your "guide," an outfitter is the only option for people coming up from the US.
