Tonight is my last night of work then I'm off 16 of the next 18 nights. I only work the 30 and 31st. I guarntee blood will be shed in that time span and hopefully one of those will be a decent buck!
Back up in a stand, hoping for a buck to go with the doe from this morning. Im in a stand on the SE corner of the north half of our property its often a well used travel route to and from tillable so fingers crossed
Scouted a couple miles after the hunt. One of the spots I scouted and marked early this year is blowing up with sign. Just need about another week. Good to see.
All setup, ground hunting again because I can’t deal with this wind that changes direction every 20yards. Got frustrated and popped a squat in some thick brush on the field edge. If that snag spike comes by and starts yelling again, I’m gonna tackle him and hockey fight him.
This is a phenomenal spot but this was the only tree big enough to climb and I didn’t want to strip the limbs off. Bucks scrape under them and I would be ecposed. I’m about as hidden as I can get now and the view is pretty cool. Problem is a sunny afternoon is horrible. I was dying after about 20 minutes so….. Desperate times call for desperate measures. I’m screwed if a deer shows up early though.
