I had two small scrapes 10' apart appear very close to my stand tree, here's one of them. They were done in the last three days. Promising.
Well I went to Alfred for recreational land management. But spent my adult life reading a lot of informative books on many subjects. Plus taking classes.
Not live or from the stand, but since this thread gets the most traffic this time of year - All these are taken in the past month and are 100% the same deer. I know in some it doesn't look like it, but it is. He didn't break any off, he's just got a dwarf side. Age this buck:
So got down and off down another rabbit hole . Though that had me finish trail check. 2 blind checks and 2 stands as well. I took a picture the blind I was in this morning. Now the other 2 pics were this morning as well. 6:59 and 7:12 ...at the garden blind. Which had deer all night with several buck , a couple of fights over the big scrape. A couple of doe as well. So woulda, coulda, shoulda???? Nah not yet.
in some he looks like it, others he looks young. Short nose, but I don't know that I would call it 'roman' like you see in old bucks. He's a regular on our property and has a very specific core area that we have corralled with stands, but we've got higher-scoring targets and we just can't quite figure out how old he is. We're trying to decide if he's off limits.
Good old central missouri. "Doggy style" pet grooming shop, a fireworks store, and a lingerie shop. Pretty much the staple of central missouri
