Well back to having service. Here was the view from tonight. The weather was perfect the hunting not so much. I might have seen a total of 5 birds, 1 mosquitoe and 1 fly. I think this spot might be better for late season when most of the food is gone and they feed on the green brier. I should have looked a little better I don’t think there is an oak on my aunt’s property all maples and other stuff. Last year there were some big scrapes up there nothing so far.
Had an eventful sit, had two different bucks bumping does, one was grunting his head off. The other was a one thirtys eight that if he came in range he might have got an arrow but overall good sit. Hopefully be back out in a couple of days. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Dressed, and heading out soon to the chestnut plot blind. Easy road walk then slip through pines to a 15yrds sneak to blind. It sits on a rock pile, from de-rocking field and in the middle of autumn olive, grape and virginia creeper vines. That blocks my entrance from 90% of the plot. Thinking this will be mainly an observation sit which is fine because yesterdays observation is farther back in the woods from this and gives me a bino veiw of that area for hunts in there. Lets hope they are correct on todays wind. BTW yesterdays buck came in to plot from this lower area. Good luck guys
