A little horn porn for everyone. A coworker shot this buck opening day of rifle season, darn nice buck for around here. Very dark rack. Other than outside spread, 19”, I didn’t put a tape to it but think he’ll go a bit over 140”.

I’m in a little earlier than I wanted. Rain gear on. I still don’t know what direction this Buck is coming from but there are 6 new rubs from yesterday and 1 new ground scrape. Still raining and breezy. I’ll be in my chair for the next 5 hrs. image.jpg

Check of the cams has 2 new bucks and both shooters in my book. I'm actually expecting to see a couple more new ones over the next week or 2 and just in time for my PTO! 1000005501.jpg 1000005502.jpg 1000005505.jpg 1000005506.jpg 1000005525.jpg

I’m way under dressed and I got a long way to go. I thought 50 degrees would be doable with some wind but it’s cold. If the deer start moving early it would be greatly appreciated.

Holy cow… almost two hundred posts to catchup on… must have been some kills. I am set up and ready to rock and roll. I’ve had good intel in here in the evenings with the cam. In fact had a lone doe work the scrape about half an hour before I got here. Feels deery out here! Good luck

Yah high today was to be 54 , we hit that before 7:30 a.m. and it's been down hill since...43 right now a little sun , cloudy no rain.
I won't be out , I decided to take down my hang on. The tree died. That was a chore and a half. Got everything in the Gator, swing around trail out to gypsy blind and back to check trails. Sure enough blocked. A ash 70ft away on other side of natural pond snapped at base. Of course right across the pond and the top blew up across my trail. What a cluster that was to clean up. Just as I'm finishing that, over the ridge I hear crack! Then a tree falling through a bunch of other trees and boom as it finally hit the ground....another big one down ,maybe taking others with it. Right now I have only 2 spots I would concider safe. One I just messed up with activity and the other the wind direction is bad. Holding of until winds calm down.
Have to think on where to put the hang on, someplace I'm not afraid to go.......
