Hey to my fellow nys hunters...is gun season starting really late this year? It seems like it to me, just makes bow season longer so that's good.

Im about 35 minutes in on my walk in and just got to the bedding. Found multiple fresh buck tracks. Some scrapes so far. Im about 150 yards from the spot i need to be. Looks like someone is home. Will update once i get setup.

I think it’s the same as last year but my memory sucks so take it for what it’s worth.

In a tight spot up top this evening. Great sign, good wind. Can't see farther than 40 yards in any direction though. Gonna be keeping the bow in hand, if it happens here it'll have to be fast. Front moving in over night, let's go!

It’s warm I worked up a good sweat walking in, waiting to get the rest of clothes on. Stand made all kinds of noise as I was climbing up. It’s didn’t seem the bother the squirrels and chipmunks they are everywhere.

I’m up in a tree, first time I’ve hunted spot twice, but I ran into 3 decent bucks, wish they could have waited for the game clock to start though.

Wife and I are set up. It's her day to kill. I'm just backup. She won't climb a tree yet so she is ground hunting at the base of one of my stands. I'm in the tree. Sara is still looking for her first deer. Everything but a spike is on her plate including turkey or bear. We had a decent 5pt here at 6:15 Thursday. Hopefully he comes back. Good luck everyone!

Replaced batteries on a dead cam, had my #1 target buck in same plot I was hunting yesterday and today at 6pm day before yesterday...F

After what happened this AM and other Reasons, decided I should bump my ladder stand to other side of the food plot. No big deal? Wrong. None of the trees were working right for various reasons. Finally got my stand in the right tree and went to grab my hand saw- nope, it's on my camper in Michigan. F me.

OK, I'll bump over to my backup stand where I killed my buck last season. No biggie. Walk my happy ass all the way over here (other side of the 40) climb up and flip my pack around to grab my hoodie which was lashed onto my pack- nope. It's somewhere between Here and There.

At least my t shirt is green.
This is my I Hate Hunting Shame face.

Got out of my stand about 515 just didn’t like all the noise I made. Walked the logging roads see a flicker of a tail. Decent buck up and feeding every time he drops his head to feed I move. He’s feeding away from me I got to about 50 then I see the flag go up. Was pretty exciting.

Silver lining- found this bad boy where I apparently left him after shooting my buck last season
