It's looking like I won't be able to get back out until next Thursday evening. So I'm going to be going stir crazy. However, after that, I have 14 of the next 16 days off. I will be a hunting, arrow slinging machine in that rime span. Good luck to all those out there today. I'll be getting my fill on here for the next 6 days until I can get back at it!
Yeppers perfect winds and 30 degrees here right now. Winds switch tonight and same spot will be perfect again . Though not a good night temp to hang. I will be doing a late afternoon hunt there and he will be either eating late or making his own. You have zero idea how I feel for you with non hunting spouse. It's worse for me for I'm the,"cook",care taker of everyone. Yesterdays phone call, your not doing anything Nov. 7 right? You can get some shopping done and I need you to please let the dogs out at noon. 1 1/2 hour drive each way. No that's fine. Now I'm just saying it, hey that's OK I'm only pushing 68, with very few hunts, I love, left in my failing hands and legs. No problem. Yes, yes I am, planting seeds of guilt!
All set up and have been for about twenty minutes, got a few till legal probably a little longer till I could actually shoot. Just a quick hunt here before work today, have to get down before nine next time I want to hunt before work someone remind me not to pick the furthest and most difficult set up… hung a cell cam in here Tuesday at noon, had a shooter buck Tuesday evening, Thursday morning, and Thursday evening with some does sprinkled in between. Buck only today as I have a pretty busy afternoon with work so I can’t call out sick. Dads here hunting as well so if I get one he can get it home for me and I can get off to work! Good luck out there killers!!

Got a little sweaty on the walk in more noise getting into my stand than I’d like. On a travel trail inside the power lines. Have to about 930. Let them have it out there.
Red squirrel got me fired up enough to get the bow off the hook then I realized it was a red squirrel.
Just got up in the stand. Had some drama coming in, my headlamp went out and I have walk through a dried up swamp to get into my spot. As you can imagine there are lots of logs and other things to trip over. Thank heaven for the light on my phone. That could have been dangerous for an old man! Good luck to all who are out. Just had a doe come by at 20, kept looking behind her and nothing showed. I’m in a new permission spot, tucked up to bedding about 100yds off a wheat field. Hoping to catch em coming back to bed.
Good luck everyone and stay safe! Let’s put some blood on the ground! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
