Fox actually hang with deer here. Could have been a young fox startled by tbe buck and the buck foot stomping him. He may have missed seeing fox when lighting up the buck

Tonight I had a small buck come out early and start eating beans left over from the combine. He sneezed and coughed at the same time while chewing. It was kind of a loud squeak if you want to call it that.

Are you hunting the same exact spot? If so why not move around a bit.

No deer movement yet here. Sun just crested the hill. Crows have been making a bunch of noise and 1 red squirrel. Chipmunks just woke up.

The fox that was here last time I hunted here made a brief appearance then bound off into the brush.

Neighbor told me about a workmate that took a tree stand fall, broke back, ribs, femur and more. Apparently the guy has a heart condition, took a nitro pill and fell from the stand. Wasn’t teathered to the tree or rope. Fortunately his son found him shortly after the fall, now recovering in the hospital.

Can’t say it enough, be careful. Stay strapped in.

    Good luck!

I hope things turn out positive for the person who fell, but quite honestly, if you're having enough chest pain that you have to take a nitro, you probably shouldn't be climbing.

Gets worse, he didn’t want downtime to have stents put in. Talk about stubborn!

Learned the hard way, but should have time for the stents now…

Eeee a tad chilly out here. Looking a tad steam engine like. 1000002065.jpg 1000002064.jpg 1000002063.jpg
The predicted winds are a dead silent walk in this morning. So far just hawks screaming and crow calling.
