Very quiet here. No movement yet. Dry leaves all over the ground. Windy, though it's dying down. About 55deg

Might finally buy my tags after work. OT schedule goes up in about an hour, see if I can make something work this weekend or not.

Want to hang a stand and leave it up but my lack of faith in the human conscience has me reluctant.

I don’t have much confidence in my spot and it does no good to move because the wind has blown in every direction since I got here. image.jpg

Back at it. In my bear stand, the wind seems to be in my favor I think, although nothing has been very predictable so far this year.

Just got set up for my 3rd hunt of the year! The shooting lanes are tight so it will be challenging if one comes in. Last night I got rained out. It was a down pour from 6 to closing time.

Spike and Doe out in front 40yds. Can't shoot the Spike and probably won't shoot the Doe. Not many deer here and I'd let my wife shoot one if she wanted.

All setup for the afternoon. Wind in my favor, just need a big fella to not wait until the moon comes out. In some thicker stuff but have eyes on some food trails.

Brett and I didn’t see any deer this morning but we spent a few hours scouting. This afternoon we’re both sitting over fresh scrapes with high hopes.

They are just now beginning to scrape and rub here.

Oh yeah, my cell cam picked up one of those big boys around mid-day.
