    Had to run into town this morning for a haircut and some bachelor supplies. I almost hit a doe driving out on our gravel road.

    It feels like an awesome day to be out there. It’s overcast and the temps are in the low 70’s.

    I’ll just wait until morning. I have quite a few chores to get done. Also just realized I need to out a round bale for the horses which is always fun alone because I don’t have a tractor.

    This is the same buck I got on cam three weeks ago. A bud got him on cam this morning and said he was trailing a doe. Has anyone seen seeking/chasing already? It seems a bit early for that.

    I killed a buck on the 10th of October several years back that was trailing a doe. In fact he was the larger of the two bucks pushing her. Makes sense really. I’m sure a few doe come in a little early/late.

    I'm back in the stand. It rained from 0900-1500 so I had a long sit in the truck. Since everything is soaked i was able to sneak within about 30yds of a known bedding area. Hopefully it pays off. Good luck everyone

    Wish this was here to stay, dropped to 61 when the front moved through, sitting at 63 now. Makes work a little more enjoyable, but back to 80 for my lone day off this week. Likely looking at Halloween weekend for my best chance to get out. Friday's are out and trying to limit Saturday requests off before November/December when I'll be taking more time off.

    Not tonight, close to a bucks bedding area. I was waiting for a buck to show up from last year and he did but his rack went down.
