Well after my last post there were deer all over the place, just wouldn’t give me the shot I wanted. We’ll see what the morning brings

Maybe I will feel that way after I am done the season of life where I am feeding 2-3 teenage boys over the next 11 years. Not saying I will “pick a spot” but, I willing to orphan one. Plenty of deer around the WMAs I hunt.

You'll get no shade from me, knock em down. That's just been my progression with it.

The blood sacrifice was completely unnecessary. Just remember to bring a palm frond to fan me with while we aren’t scouting or hunting.

I let does walk if they have spotted fawns in tow and you know I’m pretty merciless when it comes to killing deer. I don’t think I could sentence a spotted fawn to death.

Also, remember the last year I hunted Kentucky. I had my muzzleloader and I shot a doe 80 yards away. I had no idea she had a fawn with her. I reloaded and then the fawn finally ran over and bedded down 35 yards away. While it didn’t have spots I couldn’t bring myself to kill the little thing even though the farmer wanted them exterminated.

    :lmao2:

The only nickel back I know is an image of Monticello. :tu:

Brews are always welcome though. I can always use more vitamin B. It keeps my drawing arm limber.

I'm working tonight and the next 2 nights as well. This cold front can't get here soon enough! I'll be back in a tree Thursday evening and Friday morning with lows in the mid 30's! Can't wait! Good luck to everyone out today!

Man I can't wait to get back in a stand tonight with this cold front rolling in! The high for today was 68* at 4:15 this morning when I woke up for work, temps will slowly drop throughout the day with rain ending around 2:00 this afternoon with rising pressure, and a rising moon. The next 3 days are a recipe for an absolute blood bath!

Anyone that's lucky enough to be affected by this early October cold front better buckle up and hold on tight, might get a little western out there.

    Good luck AM shift!

Pouring down rain where I'm at in Ohio right now. I'm not out in it! Anyone getting wet this morning. I've got to wait til Thursday evening before I can get back in a tree! Good luck out there! Hunt hard, stay safe!

I'm up in the stand. It was drizzling at home when I left but where I am now, it hasn't rained a drop. Prediction says rain here about 11. We'll see. Good luck to anyone who is out this morning.

Good luck morning archers! Be in a tree Wednesday afternoon for my first sit of the season. Hopefully they are up and moving after all the rain we are supposed to get tonight.
