Now that half the year is gone, the muggy heat has settled in here in the south and our deer season starts in a mere 90 days, it feels like it's time...to start a 2025 LFTS.

heck, I'm already hand washing hunting clothes and hanging out side, about half done already .. with all this heat/wind coming, even my heavy stuff will dry quick .... bow wise, once I finalize everything with FP's, I'll switch to BH's to check 'em then BH tune if needed ... I might try to shoot tomorrow very early AM before the heat goes crazy ..

I had off today so I was finally able to get both of my bows restrung and timed on my draw board. Hopefully I will get some shots in tomorrow before the heat moves in up here this coming week

Took a drive last night over to my hunting property to watch the bean fields right before dark. Saw a couple doe with twin fawns and 3 bucks with good starts. It will get here quickly now.

Just got my shotgun tags in the mail Saturday.

Applications open for the special lake area archery hunts tomorrow.

I'm killing a deer this year, hopefully multiple.

On a side note, I did buy into that once. Probably still have a bottle from 8-9 years ago. Think it was Chlorofresh brand name or something similar via Amazon.

Trying to get my plans together for my fall pilgrimage out west. This year will be in the western zone of WY. Logistics and e-scouting are starting to get real.

As with prior years when I met RidgeRunner3 and Virginashadow, I will need to make some pit stops for food/coffee/fuel/bio…if you’re along the route, want to put a face to a name and may have a bit of flexibility drop me a line. Maybe able to do a quick meet up and grab a bite/coffee.

    Logistics (roughly)-
The trip should take me across NC/TN on I-40, then I-24 (TN, KY, IL); 64 thru IL to STL.

(Possible run up to Adam’s Co to crash for some Zzzs).

70 to KC, then 29 up to I 80 (NE & WY) then local roads.

Not yet 100% on travel days, but thinking 9/5-7 going westward and maybe somewhere in the 9/18-21, or earlier if successful.

Finally got all my cameras out at both of my properties. Been shooting almost every day preparing for my bear hunt last week of August in Maine. Hope everyone has a great season this year and can't wait for it to be here!
