You keep running into bears, just kill one already. That's a the kind of problem that will fix itself.
That is so disappointing. Sorry to hear that man. You deserve better for all the work you’re putting in! Did my 2 week cam check this afternoon. 0 patterns, but the bigger deer are finally starting to show up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm doubting that I'll have a good buck to chase this year. I'm planning a fall foodplot in hopes of better chances, but as of now I don't have a decent buck on camera. Hoping the new spot has something decent, but if i shoot a couple does and a decent buck, I'll chalk this up as a good year. Last year was bonkers anyway. Found a big rub coming out of a bedding area today. Also found what I believe are hickory nuts. Correct me if I'm wrong. Got another cam out. Only a few things left to do before season Sent from my SM-G950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Hahahaha he will probably be at that farm before I’ll get up there, hope he gets a crack at him! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Got out and pulled my closest camera today, had deer there 10/20 days it was up, which is good numbers for me, I’m not expecting much out of this spot early season, but I know the doe bed back on this south facing slope that’s surrounded by cabins once the hunting pressure starts! I think that I’m gonna go check out my spot when I get off shift this next week Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting.com Forums
Went out to put some more boots on the grounds today. Came across someone else stand and camera today out on public land. Must of been 100lbs of corn in a pile. Going to get some funny pics of me dancing through the area lol. Anyway got out of that area and went back into a known bedding area and put a camera on a heavy trail going into the area. Guess we will see if any bucks have been using that area lately. Only have 4 cameras out right now and have not been able to get any bucks on camera just yet. Although I have only went to check on cams once.
Last cam check 2 almost weeks ago, I had several small bucks, but one 8pt that might turn into a shooter. I have him on several different days/nights, so I believe he's a local. Checking my cams again Thurs. I'm still praying the wide "brow tine buck" from last year shows up again this season.
Gonna check out a spot on the 40 acre plot closest to me that ive never previosly hunted. I was focused on an ag transition last year and that is currently bare of any crop. So I'm switching my focus to the exact opposite side, where there is ag semi close. This 40 has a ton of bedding that is isolated, so im hoping to see sign of crossing there. The rain last night should make it pretty obvious. This year is completely different and time is running out for prep work. Happens every year tho. Also this is a public spot that ive hunted in the past. I always wanted to try a canoe access on the river and that may actually be a reality this year. Check it out and see what you guys think. The arrow is a shallow crossing that i need to scout and it is very steep on that west side that creates a good funnel. It is about .9 miles from the access point. That definitely looks like a terrain funnel with a river crossing added in for good measure. No doubt they move through there.
I've missed it for 3 years man. So I definitely want to check it out and can't wait to get on the ground to check it. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
We got out today and drove around the area that I have tags for. I have a couple of videos that I'm working on putting together to share with you guys. It was good to get out on the mountains today.
