Couldn’t stand it anymore, need to get a quick camera check in, the drive to my parking spot is always exciting.
Nothing to write home about, had a couple bucks and a some doe. Made a few adjustments and going to let them run in a few trails I found. Beans are sprouting and I picked a few potential trees. Little bit of a let down, but I do believe these will be good spots once the beans are “food”.
The beans around here are getting about 6+ inches now. Last week didn't see a single deer behind the house. Now this week I'm seeing around 10+ deer a night. It was like a light switch! They are destroying the beans right now. Getting a good mixture of bucks and does. No fawns though, which is kind of steange. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Got permission on another 100 acres up by the property in PA where I hit the buck opening day last year. Farmer said he needs does killed they are eating all his crops, my dad, the son of a family friend and I will be the only ones archery hunting it. Not sure how soon I will get up there, or how many times I will get out there to hunt this year, I am primarily focusing on MD as it’s only an hour from the house opposed to 1.5 hours for this other property. Being the first year of marriage I am treading lightly with traveling for hunting lol I did get what should be a nice buck on camera this weekend in MD Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
You are on fire with getting land to hunt. So cool. You have your trail cam elevated high in a tree? I heard that works well and doesnt spook the deer.
It is working great! I put them elevated because the owner said they have had issues with trespassing and I figured if I can put it up enough that someone can’t reach it’s a little safer! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
