Good luck to all hunting tonight. My season starts Oct. 1st. Can't wait. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm sitting a observation stand tonight just watching a field. Brought the bow, but I doubt any deer will come close. Trying to locate a buck for tomorrow night!
No deer yesterday. Had a buck come in behind me. Couldn't make him out, but he had times and a big hind quarter. Must have winded me. Late checking in this morning because I've been surrounded by deer since 0530. At first I couldn't shoot them cause it was too dark and not legal time. Then I realized that they were all taking a trail about 50 more yards up the hill from me. Heard a lot of doe bleats, saw two doe on their hind legs battling it out with their front hooves. Great morning in the woods so far. Gonna sit till 0900 at least. Then I'm moving my climber at least 30 yds up the hill to try and ambush them this evening.
Ugh. Swing and a miss. Operator error. Had ranged a big tree at 25 but did not compensate for her being on a trail a couple steps back. Shot for 25 but she was at 30. Went right under her
Yeah great hunt this AM. Some of the best constant action I've seen this week. Have had 2 more come in since the miss to 30 yds and on both of them they got squirrelly and split. The wind is just all over the place. I've had them take off above me and below me. Just no wind consistency this morning. Not gonna shoot at spooky animals though. That's how you injure them. Gonna sit at least one more hour.
Good luck fellas. I'm gonna try and get out tomorrow evening if I can. I'm not sure because of work. I'm ready for my first sit with the black widow.
My season doesn't start til 10/1. I got that day planned for the woods. Going to try and double kill with my boy. Sent from my SM-N930T using Tapatalk
I'm in! Just got set up. What a difference 10 degrees and no humidity makes! Got a great wind and just waiting for some deer!
Just got set up! A little later then ideal but such is life! So much cooler tonight, good things coming.
Slow going this afternoon. Figured they would be up on their feet a little earlier with the cooler temps.
