Ton of deer where we hunt in NJ. Way overpopulated! Good place to put meat in the freezer. There are also 150"+ bucks running around, though they are hard to find until the rut kicks in. NJ is awesome.
Well only had the fawn in range but did see 4 other does out and about! Don't usually sit mornings durning early season but with the temps suppose to be in the 50's I think I'll give it a shot! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Afternoon hunt, same place as I killed the doe yesterday afternoon. This place was crazy yesterday. Even after I shot her, she crashed in the corn and I retrieved her from the corn, two more doe came in that I could have easily shot. So if all that noise didn't bother them yesterday, hopefully they will come out today.
Deer are odd here. Seems as though they are bedding in the corn and coming out of the corn to get water and feed on some type of wild cucumber looking like plant, viny with small round veggie. Wind is swirly again, 90 deg. Placed a climber in the woods near this corn piece today. Gonna try hunting it tomorrow AM. It's up on the ridge about 150 yds from the corn. Maybe the bucks are up there, cause they don't seem to be adjacent to the corn.
At it again this evening!!! Cut corn to the north of me and milo to the south! Cams aren't showing any bucks durning day light but the does have been showing up around 7-7:30!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
