One of my best buddies from childhood to adulthood killed his 1st bow deer today. His 2nd year of hunting and he did it on public land in OH and it's a buck killed at 2:30 pm. Huge congratulations to him. ImageUploadedByBowhunting.com Forums1476404622.429176.jpg

If you can't tell he's a veteran also. Ol school vet like me.

Ok all set up in the climber in some oaks. While I was putting my climber together, I had a coyote start howling within 30 frickin yards. I about jumped out of my boots. He circled my while I put my stand in the tree. I think we have some issues here

Back in NY sitting over a scrape that the little bucks have been frequenting. Nice morning to be in a tree. This is a family hunt as three of us are all in the same section of woods. Good luck and shoot straight.

First deer of the morning, a button buck just came in and stood right underneath me for a good 5 minutes. Hopefully that's a good sign.

Just had a very short toned 8 and a forkie come past. Definitely not something I would shoot but it's good to see movement. Must be the morning for yotes. I jus had one slide past me at about 70yds about half hour ago.

    Blessings.........Pastorjim

To be honest I'm surprised I even got a shot off. He had me busted to my right and then proceeded to walk all the way around out in front of me give me time to pick up my bow drawback and shoot. First arrow I ever flung add a coyote. And I learned that I have a new coat in the sleeves are too puffy.

About to pack it in. Saw three bucks , all within 20 yards of stand. Spike, 3pt, and a 8 pt, legal but I want bigger, about 80 inches. A nice little buck

Just got permission to hunt a couple hundred acres when I go home on leave in a couple weeks. Until then, I will live vicariously through everyone here. Good luck out there today.
