Been looking for hours. Nothing past last blood. Hands and knees in every direction. Frustrating.

Any trees you can climb at last blood to get a big picture view.. Getting up a tree might allow you to see her from above.. Look down every trail in sight and every brush pile..

Just a thought-- Its worked for me in the past..

I've spent 4 hrs looking so far. Those that know me know I'll walk 10 darn miles to find a deer. Haven't found any new blood for hours. I've walked some seriously steep terrain...creeks
Everything including about an hour on my hands and knees.

    This ain't Hollywood. ..

I should have placed the arrow much tighter to the shoulder. 100% my fault or getting a rear lung steep hit.

Brett a buddy of mine shot a doe similar to that last week. She was quartering away and his shot was a little high and far back. He looked for hours that night and never even found a drop of blood. The next morning we were at the property I just bought and we were looking at the spot that I'm putting in a food plot and we ended up stumbling across her. Over 500 yards from where he shot her! They are tough critters and their will to live is crazy. Don't let it get you down.

Sounds like a liver shot if the arrow was coated that red.

Heading in on a doe mission unless a big boy appears.

The blood on the arrow isn't dark enough for a liver hit based on the picture Brett texted to me. Looks like lung blood.

Liver shots are almost purple in color. Your correct in thinking a 1 lunger

Heading out to the stand tonight. Foggy out with a little drizzle. Cold front coming in tomorrow. Crossing my fingers for some good luck.

I'm thinking one lung myself. I will keep at it. It was a real nice size doe and I sure want the meat.

I appreciate it Ruger. I've hit deer in worse spots and they've died quick. I was Suprised when the blood trail was so good at first then just went dead. Knew what I had and backed out for a bit. She could be darn near 400 yds away in a thicket. Have 0 blood after 100 yds or so.

100% my fault for not jamming that arrow down toward the heart.
