    Well, with the rain holding off, it appears that I'll back in the stand this afternoon!! No need not to. Season is over Sunday. Freezing rain is forecast for the next 2 days.

    Looks like I won't be deer hunting again this year. Made a whopping 1 sit lol. This time next week however I do have a predator tournament gonna be hunting for about 36 hours straight, I cannot wait.

    it always amazes me how good the craftsmanship was back then.

    It was a ghost town tonight. Barometer is really high. Hopefully the rain holds off again tomorrow.

    These grave stones are of a family from the 1800's in the woods I hunt. I love the old stuff you can find out there. Here's a close-up of one of the stones. I believe the date is 1851. It's amazing, but folks died at a much younger age back in those days.

    could you imagine hand cutting those stones? look how perfect and elegant the letters are. it must have taken forever! another lost art I'm sure.
