I thought Cousin Eddie was dead after not seeing him for a month and seeing pics of the neighbor killing am 8 point, but I got confirmation that's not true. 44218.jpg I have 2 days to pull this off. Good luck guys.

In for my first sit since killing a buck on November 12. Rare snow on the ground in Arkansas. Father-in-law is in my ground blind about 100 yards away. Spooked a doe 15 yards from my tree stand getting. Two and half hours of daylight. Should be a good night.[IMG]

Weird. Second sit in a row without seeing a deer. Going to try a different spot tomorrow night. See what is going on there.

    Keep us posted Shane.

There is a price to be paid for spooking the doe I am going to shoot and staying in range. Not what I wanted tonight but a nice consolation prize and it will make the landowner happy. Ended up seeing about 30 does none came in range and then this guy came by.[IMG]

checked cameras today and finally got a spot with a couple decent bucks to go after. here is a pic of the biggest one there. i'll be surprised if I don't get a shot at one tomorrow night. this spot hasn't had anyone hunt it in at least 15 years. they will never expect me showing up. spetz 1-6-17 532.jpg spetz 1-6-17 604.jpg spetz 1-6-17 881.jpg

there are three total in that one spot in the acorns. all would be nice late season bucks to shoot.

Had a 6pt come in perfectly and he pegged me at 15 yds. Started making his way to my right and i tried to turn to get a shot as his head was behind a tree and he spooked. Season ends tomorrow dang it

Man I wish I could hunt this weekend but instead I'm stuck working. Don't get many opportunities to hunt with snow on the ground here. Off work next weekend and season ends on the 15th so you better believe I'll be out then for sure. It's been a month since I've hunted and I've got the itch bad! Need to get some meat in the freezer! Already about out of the Jerky from my October doe, gave too much away I guess.

Good luck to you guys that are out! Lay 'em down!

Had 2 does come in perfect this morning around 9, and my gun powder didn't ignite. Just had to watch them walk.
