Unfortunately a little button buck, looks like someone shot him in the hind leg during rifle season he was limping really bad Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Congrats! Hopefully you can save the meat, not sure where the rear leg was hit. That thing needs a haircut Looks more like a Canadian deer than NC
This one was PA I'm home for Christmas break and he was actually shot in the hoof so the meat should be great, glad I was able to take him out, would have been rough trying to walk on that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Those are the best kind of hunts, I was feeling crappy about this spot when I checked the camera on the way in there were no deer in it, this guy was bedded about 30 yards from where I checked the camera, just goes to show anything can happen, toy never know what the camera doesn't see Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just let a young but decent 6 walk. I may regret that later but he is only 1.5. ohh well, at least the hunt wasn't a bust no matter what happens.
Way to go man! Your perseverance is to be admired. Button buck or not, you did a good thing by taking that deer. I'm sure it was suffering. Thats going to be good eatin!

Back in the stand this evening. Trying to catch them moving before the snow tonight. Good Luck everyone!
So I'm butchering the deer and there was an infection and a giant bubble of yellow whiteish liquid up on his neck, are the hind quarters alright to continue butchering? I already had them cut off and separate before we got to the infections Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Post a picture on Dr. Grant Woods Growing Deer TV facebook page. He will probably respond and let you know. On his episode this week he found a dead deer with an infections. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
