I take down all of my stands each year. I would be nervous to sit in it after the sun has deteriorated the straps. not good for growing trees also. I can't stand watching them grow into trees. good way to get kicked out of a good hunting spot. anyway, I checked another cam in another spot today only to see another buck completely shed. down to only a few spots left to hunt. if I don't locate any shooters from them i'll likely throw in the towel. worthless for me to go watch does without a tag. it will be time to put boots on the ground to find sheds for the shed hunting contest.
true. but I don't own a flintlock. plus I hate cleaning guns. that's why I gave my in line away. I love my bow no cleaning necessary. I haven't given up yet. I still have two new spots soaking and the ridge of acorns had three little bucks show up two days ago that I haven't seen before. so hopefully more bucks will be migrating to the oaks.
Best of luck to you! I'll be back out Wednesday or Thursday, calling for heavy rain here tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
might try to get out this afternoon, depends how hard it's raining. if not maybe i'll go change cam cards.
I'm going to head out this afternoon. Finally cooling off here. Looks like it will be cooler until the beginning of next week.
Sheds? Bucks are shedding antlers already? I thought they didn't do that till late February. Ohio is where I hunt Mike4christ
Heading out to the county park to see if I can get it done on a big old nanny doe, about 40 degrees out and the weather channel says it's foggy out. Good luck to anyone else headed out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
